China, Peru, Venezuela and Panama have been some of the destinations where the surveyors carried out surveys between the end of June and beginning of July.

The vessel groundings are usual incidents in the marine shipping. A survey of hull damage due to a grounding incident has been attended by Marinos Wang recently. In this case, it has been concluded the grounding incident was attributed to improper passage planning, failing to identify and keep a safe distance from a shallow area.

Our master mariner David Jones gave his comments on the grounding matter, very poor standard of navigation it seems to have existed on board. Based on his experience, he drew up a written report regarding both good and bad practices on chart work, this can be found posted in our website publications.
